TRUST STFC uses its latest column to wish new head coach Scott Lindsey well while updating Town fans on a couple of notable changes or improvements the group is trying to make.

It's been a few weeks since the news first broke of Ben Garner’s departure to Charlton Athletic, but we finally know who will now be taking charge of first-team affairs, and TrustSTFC would like to wish Scott Lindsey the best of luck in his new role stepping up as the head coach.

With the contracted players now back from summer leave and pre-season looming, we’re looking forward to seeing how the squad is strengthened over the coming days and weeks.

Over the last month or so, we’ve been working hard on a variety of work-streams to improve our offering as a Trust, including; a new social media strategy, our new website is now under construction, we’re engaging with a range of local groups on sustainability and diversity, and we’re also looking forward to hearing the club’s response with regards to Trust and Official Supporters Club feedback on the newly-revised ticket prices. Based on our member’s thoughts, we have recommended to the club the need to reconsider a number of price categories and reduce some of the proposed matchday costs.

Last week, members of the TrustSTFC board were guests at the quarterly ‘South West Supporters Trust Group’ meeting - a collaboration supported by The Football Supporters Association, and the first in the country to bring together regional trusts to share knowledge and best practice for working with their respective clubs and members.

We’re delighted to confirm that we have decided to join as a formal member, and look forward to continuing to engage with our friends across the south west.

Over on our website, we recently published a short review on the latest financial accounts that the club submitted to Companies House. The figures relate to the year June 2020 to May 2021, which is the period of time shortly before the transfer of ownership.

The publicly shared information in these is limited, but we have highlighted a number of insights if you wish to take a look.

We’ll be attending July’s Advisory Board meeting in a couple of weeks, and for the upcoming season, we’re looking to include a segment within our slide that documents TrustSTFC members’ questions and feedback for the club.

If you’re a member of the Trust and have something for us to raise with the club, please drop an email over to us at info@truststfc.com
