THERE were a number of teams celebrating success in the Swindon Sunday League at the weekend.

In Division Two, GW Nalgo followed up a win against Duckhams with a 6-1 success against Greenbidge MOT.

The referee ignored the linesman's flag on three occasions as TJ Bohane's hat-trick plus goals from Chris Coward, Dave Preston and Simon Thompson saw them clinch the title. Dave Heskett replied for Greenbridge.

RJK Ferndale went third after a Neil Matthews double helped them to beat KMLC 2-0.

Shield & Dagger beat Pewsey Saints with efforts from Louis Cunningham, Neil Lee and Callum Griffin.

Tom Fila and Chris Quinton netted for Coleshill in a 2-1 home success against Windmill.

Nine Elms' 3-1 win at Mallard Lyneham gave them the Division Three title.

Tom Jones, Phil McDonough and Steve Yeardley scored to wrap things up.

A Craig Ingram hat-trick helped Castrol to win 4-3 at Autocolour, Joe Matano also scored and the Autocolour replies came from Craig Dixon, Russell Osman and Steve Matthews.

Wanborough won 3-2 at Lava Lounge thanks to Tony Law, Mike Kent and Chris Rusling.

Intermach Wheatsheaf clinched the Division Four championship after their 6-0 win at South Marston. On the mark were James Winton with a hat-trick, a Steve Winchcombe double and an own goal.

Rodbourne Arms and Abbey Scaffolding Dolphin shared six goals. Aiden Williams, Lewis Polden and Wayne Savory scored for the Arms and Stuart Davidson, Charlie Walton and Dave Woloszczynski for Dolphin.

Penhill Aces midweek drubbing of Swindon Snooker 8-0 and Westbrook's surprise 2-1 defeat by Patheon handed Aces the title despite losing 4-1 at Wheatsheaf Stratton in their latest league fixture.

Craig Tuck, Dan Pook and Tom Price (2) were the Wheatsheaf scorers and Blaine Fitzgerald slotted the Penhill goal.

Westbrook are joint second with Wheatsheaf after winning 8-2 at Ventrolla through John Horgan (3), Emeka Nwankwo (3) and Dave Chivers (2). Eddie Damarell scored both of the Ventrolla replies.

Roughmoor Rangers won 5-2 at Swindon Macs and CSA Sandgate won 5-3 at Patheon with Vladimir Mager, Peter Lessej, Jan Novak (2) and Frantisek Jancosek netting. The Patheon goals came from Aaron Kelly, Andy Mark and Tony Cutting.

A Steve Hiscock double set up a 2-1 home win against Mercedes Benz.

In Division One, leaders Penhill won 1-0 at Wroughton WMC and there was a goalless draw between Sunday Merlin and AFC Gas.

New Century WMC now require three more points to take the Divison Five title after a resounding 13-2 victory at Nationwide.

Four timers for Chris Oke and Lee Stoddard were added to Ryan Whitefield's hat-trick and Micky Solan with a couple.

Village Inn helped themselves to seven goals without reply against Pennoes. Jamie Calow hit a hat-trick, Matt Davey a brace, Dave Ashworth and Anthony McCusker also scored.

Division Six champions Dorcan Old Boys were held to a 1-1 draw at White Hart Stratton, Dan Affleck put Dorcan 1-0 up with a first-half penalty before Liam Gooch equalised in the second half.

Pinehurst Community beat Bear Marlborough 1-0 and look favourites to take second spot.

Swindon City won 2-1 at Walcots Finest in Division Seven, as did AFC Sandgate at Stratton St Margaret with goals from Dan Cooper and Danny Wadmore, Anthony Hitchman netted for Stratton.
