ADVER Sport assess the performances of the Swindon Town players following the Robins’ 1-0 defeat at home to Stockport County on Saturday.

Sol Brynn: 8

Town’s stopper made his first penalty save for Swindon early on and went on to produce a handful of pretty comfortable saves otherwise. Brynn had no chance with the goal and probably deserved another clean sheet. Booked.

Remeao Hutton: 5

Hutton only completed around half of his intended passes, and his attacking edge wasn’t there – potentially due to the amount of defensive work he was forced to do. Was partially responsible for Stockport’s goal after coming across to the left and not putting the ball in the box.

Tom Brewitt: 6

Brewitt was strong in the air and still tried those risky passes through the lines, which was appreciated. Another no-nonsense display.

Frazer Blake-Tracy: 7

Blake-Tracy proved how much Town missed him while he was away, winning plenty in the air and defending with confidence on the ground. A fair shout for man of the match, for once. Subbed.

Joe Tomlinson: 6

On his first start back after an ankle injury, Tomlinson was unlucky to slip in the lead up to Stockport’s missed penalty. He appeared comfortable enough at centre-back and battled away well. Subbed.

George McEachran: 6

McEachran was quite quiet but still managed to complete almost three quarters of his attempted passes in a game where Town saw far less of the ball than they usually would.

Jonny Williams: 6

Another who was pretty quiet, but in a game like that it was always going to be difficult for Williams to have a real impact. He covered ground in midfield well, but was unable to help Swindon create a chance. Booked. Subbed.

Saidou Khan: 6

The returning midfielder completed over 90 per cent of his attempted passes and was combative without crossing the line. A decent return. Subbed.

Jacob Wakeling: N/A

Doing his defensive duties saw Wakeling in the wrong place at the wrong time. He was just unlucky. I refuse to criticise the 21-year-old for an honest mistake. Sent off.

Charlie Austin: 5

Austin had almost less than nothing to go on during his 45 minutes, although an attempted through-ball that escaped the 33-year-old highlighted some major pace issues. Subbed.

Rushian Hepburn-Murphy: 6

Hepburn-Murphy ran his socks off up front but struggled to control the ball in less than ideal conditions at times. Booked for diving when it was at worst simply no penalty. Booked.

SUBSTITUTES

Marcel Lavinier: 6

Lavinier covered a lot of ground after being sent on at half-time. But even his boundless energy and aggression couldn’t help Swindon turn the tide their way.

Ronan Darcy: 5

The midfielder barely touched the ball and wasn’t involved much for better or worse.

Tom Clayton: N/A, Dylan Kadji: N/A, Luke Jephcott: N/A

All three came on too late to receive a rating.
