Mark Neilson said that he believes Swindon boxer Lewis Roberts is capable of accomplishing whatever he wants within the sport.
Roberts won the English Silver Bantamweight title last year as he beat Ben Lilley at The O2 to add the previously vacant English title to his Commonwealth Silver belt.
The undefeated fighter will be looking to push on and claim further belts this year and Neilson believes that he has got what it takes to get to the top.
He said: “We have got our own club now looking at bringing through some new talent from the local area and the cream of that is Lewis Roberts.
“There are going to be some really big fights for him this year, I think the British and Commonwealth, which is the next step up, is being fought for and there is already a date in place by a couple of other boxers on Queensbury [Promotions].
“When that happens, the winner will probably vacate and move on to the world level and that will mean British and Commonwealth will be available and that will be on a TV platform for sure with Lewis.
“So we expect him to fight for British and Commonwealth at some stage this year and this lad can go all the way.
“He has improved in every fight, he is undefeated and he is a real talent and it is brilliant for Swindon to be able to get behind him.”
However, Neilson added that he has been telling Roberts that even with his talent and 11-0 record, he needs to raise his profile to help get more local fans behind him.
He said: “For me, I think that he is a bit too quiet on social media and I have been telling him to get himself out there.
“You need to get out on the pitch at halftime at Swindon Town and things like that.
“It is no good being the best fighter on the circuit, you want everyone to know who you are and get those supporters behind you.
“Boxing around here goes through peaks and troughs, we have had some fantastic boxers, there was an amateur club in Walcot – ABC was a production line with Ryan Martin and Jamie Cox, who fought for a world title.
“We have put on whole events in Swindon full of Swindon fighters but there are only two or three now right now and Lewis is someone who is incredibly exciting.”
