With main rivals Bideford not in action, Colin Bush's side took full advantage as they bid to break the Devon side's monopoly on the championship.
Bush is still waiting to hear whether Biddestone youngster Luke Gullick will move to the Southbank.
Devizes won their basement battle at Backwell 2-0, with goals from Simon Drewitt and Marcus Wallen while Biddestone drew 0-0 at Dawlish in Division One.
