SWINDON & DISTRICT FOOTBALL LEAGUE: Zurich's Premier Division title bid faltered as they drew 1-1 with Liden. Jason Kearns scored for Liden and Mark Corocan replied for Zurich in a game which saw the Liden defence turn in a fine performance.
Ridgeway and Queensfield drew 0-0.
Mid-table Regent visited The Running Horse and beat them 3-1. Grant Songhurst scored for the Horse but Regent replied through Krzysztof Maskalaniec and Dave Jones.
In Division 1, the Toomey boys, Dave and James, of Down Ampney, ensured that their team walked off with the three points after a 3-2 win against Milton Club. Steve Winchcombe and David Young scored for the Milton Club.
Bottom of the table Lower Stratton forced second-placed Spectrum to a 0-0 draw.
Jason Robinson (2) and Dave Heskett netted for Wason & Webb in their mid-table clash against Walcot to seal a 3-2 win.
AFC Abbey Rodbourne visited Ramsbury and beat them 3-2 despite efforts from Ramsbury scorers Ali Mair and Shaun Neville.
Merlin were victorious over Green Baize Reserves and lengthened the gap at the top of the table after beating them 5-1 thanks to goals from Neil Herring (2), Dave Clarke (2 )and Aaron Burgess.
Eastville are in third spot after beating Rodbourne 7-1. Shaun Hewitt, Raffaele Mazotta, Nigel Lord and Ben Allen all hit the back of the net to help secure the win.
