NORTH WILTS YOUTH LEAGUE: Under 9 North - There was an excellent sporting game at Maunsell Way which saw Wootton Bassett Town go joint top of the table following a 5-0 win.
Wroughton never gave up with both sides playing some excellent passing football. Josh Bolton and Alex Dinsmore both bagged a double for Bassett, Max Passingham adding a fifth.
Two goals from Jack Bright and one for Harry Chevis gave Highworth Town a 3-0 home win over Hungerford Town A.
Under 9 West.
Leaders Robins had a 3-2 victory over Old Town United, Charlie Smith (2) and Robbie Hendry scoring for Robins, Charlie Carter and Adam Bertram for Old Town.
FC Abbey Meads stay second following a 7-1 home win over Ferndale Rodbourne B, Jody Melville with a hat-trick, Rees Johnson (2), Ryan Noel and Finlay Stewart with the other Abbey Meads goals, Nathan Hammerton-Sloan replying for Ferndale.
Goals from Josh Mcarthy (3), Alex Fenton (2) and Ben Park gave Croft Juniors A a 7-0 home win over Shaw. South Marston Saints continued their recent good form with a 2-0 win at Blunsdon Colts, Josh Ayres and Bradley Carter with the goals.
Under 9 Central.
Just two games survived with Coleshill Juniors winning 4-2 at home against Ferndale Rodbourne C and Fairford winning by the odd goal in five at Cricklade.
Under 9 South.
Match of the day saw leaders Wootton Bassett Town entertain third-placed Swindon Soccer Skills and it was Soccer Skills who prevailed, winning 3-1 courtesy of goals from Dean Griffin (2) and Alex Crozier, Max Reynolds replying for Bassett.
Second-placed Cirencester Town failed to take full advantage as they were held at Purton Westbrook B, 1-1 the final score in this one, George Dudman for Purton, Alex Binnie for Cirencester Town. Two goals from Jay Morris and one from Tristan Wheeler gave Hungerford a 3-0 win over FC Abbey Meads B.
