WOMEN'S & GIRLS FOOTBALL: SWINDON Town Ladies twice came from behind to secure a 2-2 draw with Exmouth.

Exmouth got an early break when their quick striker received the ball in Swindon's half with no-one to beat except Swindon keeper Fran Ronan.

She did her best to keep the player busy while the Swindon defence recovered, but was unable to keep the Exmouth player from scoring.

The rest of the first half was frustrating for Swindon, seeing a number of opportunities go to waste.

Victoria Humphries came closest but was unable to settle the score.

The second half started much the same as the first ended, with plenty of possession for Swindon but nothing to show for it.

The goal finally came from a short corner, created by a forward run from Amanda Jones. Karen Churm was quick enough to spot a gap in the Exmouth defence to find Lyndsey Baker who diverted the ball into the back of the netl.

There wasn't long left on the clock, and most people on the pitch were settling for a 1-1 draw but the Exmouth forwards, who laid the same about of pressure on Swindon as they had done in the first five minutes, that lead them to claiming a dubious goal.

This rattled Swindon, as they'd worked so hard to get the first one back and they weren't about to let all that hard work be wasted.

With only minutes to spare, Baker got her second of the match after an aggressive forward run from Gemma Anstey.

Baker collected the pass and chipped the ball over the Exmouth keeper.
