ANDREW Frampton has lavished praised on his two young defensive partners at Swindon Town, insisting both Sean Morrison and Scott Cuthbert have big futures in the game.

Frampton, currently on loan from Millwall, has played alongside both centre-backs since his spell in Wiltshire began at the back end of October.

And whilst Morrison appears to be manager Danny Wilson’s preferred option alongside the 31-year-old at present, Frampton thinks Cuthbert is just as good.

“Sean’s a good professional. He’s a young lad who’s learning the game and, from what I can see, has learnt a lot already,” he said.

“He’s a very good lad - off the pitch and on the pitch.“Scott’s a fantastic lad and a very good player and he has got a very big future in front of him.”

Twenty-year-old Morrison and 23-year-old Cuthbert remain relative rookies in the wider world of football, but the pair have both been linked with moves to Championship and Premiership clubs over the course of the past 12 months.

Morrison was rumoured to have interested QPR and Newcastle United in the past, and Cuthbert was said to have attracted the attention of Preston under previous management - and Frampton can completely understand why.

When asked if Morrison would be worth big money in the future, he said: “Anyone who comes down here and watches him will see what he’s about.

“He’s only young at the moment but he’s getting so much experience “He’s a big guy and he uses it well. I’ve seen big guys who don’t use it well but he’s very powerful and aggressive with it.

“Scott is already well established as a professional and I’m sure he’s going to go on and do good things in the game.”

Frampton said the occasional errors within the pair’s respective games were simply part of a learning curve, which in time would help develop the duo into formidable players.

In essence, the loanee believes Town’s future is in safe hands at the back.

“They certainly will only get better,” he said. “Mistakes happen in football and you learn from them.

“You wouldn’t be human if you didn’t make mistakes from time to time, and we all make them.”
