IN A dress rehearsal of the George Thomas Cup final Swindon Auto Engine Tune edged out CitiFaith in a seven-goal thriller Two early goals handed SAET the lead, before a Grant Warwick penalty got CitiFaith back in the contest and Paul Aust drew the game level.

However, SAET flew into action and added a further two goals midway through the second half. John Lewis made it 4-3 with 10 minutes remaining, but CitiFaith could not find an equaliser.

Pembroke ended their season with a fine 4-2 away win over Chiseldon Reserves. The home side took an early lead thanks to Vince Sejournant, but Pembroke responded quickly and romped into a 3-1 lead courtesy of goals from Chris Woods, Daniel Drewett and Dale Bird. Matt Pritchard got one back for Chiseldon, but Dean Kennedy restored the two-goal cushion and handed the win to Pembroke.

DJC Marlborough confirmed runners-up spot with a hard-fought 3-1 win over VBA Rangers. DJC took the lead through a free kick from Anthony Duckett before Wayne Presley, who appeared offside, bagged the second.

VBA keeper James Foye protested the decision to award the goal too vigorously and was sent off.

Danny Jones hauled 10-man VBA back into proceedings in the second period, but Lee Bicknell blasted in a near post shot late on to round off the scoring for DJC.
