Shrivenham held a match to mark the departure of chairman Robb Forty at the Rec on Friday, with the contest kicking off an evening of celebrations at the club.
Forty has called a halt to his time at Shrivvy after 18 years, and the surprise event was held in his honour.
The match was contested between a North Berks old boys side managed by Dave Clauson and a Shrivenham Hellenic League legends outfit bossed by Alan Dyton.
It was the legends that came out on top 6-2 courtesy of goals from Michael Silvanus, Jon Peters, Russell Byrne, Steve Avenell (2) and Alex Green, while Matthew Hampson and Neil Sutton replied for North Berks.
The club honoured Forty by presenting him with a bench, which will have a permanent position at the Rec. It has a plaque attached in memory of Forty’s mother Marilyn, who died of cancer recently.
