SWINDON men’s made the long trip to Swansea in the Conference North bereft of 11 first team players.

However, the trip back over the Severn Bridge was made all the more sweeter as the makeshift side picked a 4-2 victory and cement their third place spot in the table.

Swindon took the lead after a great break away through the midfield from Chris Parsons and Henry Cheney played in Thomas Lentschner to tuck the ball home.

However, the Welsh hosts hit back with two goals only for Lentschner level matters with a full length dive to connect with a 50-metre pass from Parsons on the stroke of half-time.

After the interval, in an end-to-end battle, Swindon captain Tom Goldsmith gave his side the lead when deflecting home from close range before Lentschner completed his hat-trick.

Swindon A were unable to claim the local bragging rights in East Central One as they were held to a 2-2 draw at home against their Royal Wootton Bassett counterparts.
