MEMBERS of Swindon Town Community Foundation’s Extra Time and Walking Football groups turned out in force last week for a session of golf croquet tuition and competition with Swindon Croquet Club.
The club’s three full-size lawns at their base in Moredon were halved in order to allow six games of golf croquet doubles to be played at the same time, with all equipment provided by Swindon Croquet Club.
Several of the Extra Time group, which is for over 65s, are regular attendees at these community events and their croquet skills and confidence are progressing steadily, evidenced by impressive and accurate play on their part.
Swindon Croquet Club is committed to supporting the local community and is always happy to welcome new members.
