PETER Dibben, from Swindon's GWR team, has continued his fine run of form with some excellent performances in the tough School of Belgium racing.
The 16-year-old, on his third consecutive weekend of racing in Western Flanders, contested two races as part of a five-man Junior South East composite squad.
Day one saw the squad contest a Kermesse in Koolskamp, where 58 riders lined up to face 14 laps of a circuit, over a distance of 78 kilometres.
Dibben made a late attempt to close on the lead group, but still crossed the line an excellent fifth position.
Wet and windy conditions prevailed on day two, where the squad contested the 13th GP Andre Noyelle.
A total of 146 riders, from Belgium, France, Holland and the UK were on the start line for the 101-kilometre race.
Dibben tried to break clear of the chasers with two kilometres to go, but was caught inside the final 500 metres and eventually rolled in with the peloton.
Overall, the squad claimed sixth place.
GWR contest the Castle Combe EasterClassic today.
