THE 37th Hills Wiltshire Professionals Golf Championship will be held at Marlborough Golf Club today.

Nineteen of Wiltshire’s top professional golfers will compete to win a portion of the £3,625 prize fund. The championship will be decided on a 36-hole stroke play basis, with the top 18 and ties playing the second 18 holes with the leaders out last.

There was a nine-hole Texas scramble in the morning, which was won by Bob Drayton, Max Drayton, Matt Mumford and Tom Walsham for the front nine.

On the back nine, Gary Rabey, Chris Ayers, Paul Stepp and Mark Jell took the honours.

The main competition in the afternoon was an 18-hole Bowmaker, which was won by Caitlin Carney, Lydia Ward, Elena Clements and Seb James.

The day raised £1,600 for the Captain’s Charity (ASTHMA UK) through raffle tickets, auction items and the beat the pro on the 16th hole.
