SWINDON Wildcats have announced plans for their two-legged NIHL Cup final clash with Sheffield Steeldogs next month, with the fixture dates dependent on each side's progress in their respective leagues.

The Wildcats clinched their place in the showpiece with a fine 5-1 semi-final second leg victory at Telford Tigers last week and will take on the Steeldogs over two matches to decide the destiny of the silverware.

Swindon are currently third in NIHL South One, with Sheffield top of the respective north division, with both sides heading for the end-of-season league play-offs next month.

Should both sides exit the play-offs at that last-eight stage, the cup final ties will be played on Saturday, March 24 and Sunday, March 25.

Should one or both teams be knocked out at the semi-final stages of the play-offs, the cup final will be moved to the weekend of March 31 and April 1.

Meanwhile, if one or both reach the NIHL Final Four play-off finals weekend in Coventry on April 7-8, the Wildcats will then travel to Sheffield for the first cup final leg on Wednesday, April 11, with the home leg taking place at the Link Centre on Sunday, April 15.

The Wildcats have confirmed that, regardless of the dates, they will be hosting the second leg of the final.

Swindon travel to Basingstoke Bison for the first leg of their Autumn Cup final on Friday, with face-off at 7.45pm.

The second leg takes place in Swindon on Friday of next week (March 9, 7.45pm) The Wildcats have also revealed details of their 2018-19 season ticket offer. See swindonwildcats.com.
