SWINDON Wildcats’ Autumn Trophy final first leg away at Basingstoke Bison this evening has been postponed due to adverse weather conditions.

The clubs have now rescheduled the fixture and the first leg will now take place in Hampshire oon Friday, March 9.

Swindon were due to host the second leg on that date but that will now take place at the Link Centre seven days later on Friday, March 16.

A statement on the Wildcats’ website read: “Swindon Wildcats are pleased to announce the re-arranged Autumn Cup Final will now take place on Friday 9 and Friday 16 March.

"Despite the best efforts of both teams, the health and safety of the players, staff, officials and fans needed to be take into consideration and with the amount of snow that fell this week, postponing the game is the only option both teams had.

"The first leg will be held in Basingstoke on Friday, March 9 and the second and deciding leg will take place on Friday, March 16 at the Better Link Centre Swindon.

"All tickets for the home leg will be valid for the new date.
