THE FOUR-POINT weekend was massive for us last week - we knew we had to get it.

I think we started well on Saturday, obviously Aaron (Nell) wasn’t there, but Ryan (Aldridge) took over on the bench and he knows the team well because he’s been around and he used to coach the team a few years back.

I think we played pretty well. Even in the first two periods, we were unlucky to concede and I think our quality showed in the third when we put in those few goals.

Ahead of this weekend, it’s probably a mixture of nerves and excitement for me.

I don’t get too nervous ahead of games, but obviously this week it’s more the anticipation of waiting for the game to come around because that’s what I’m looking forward to all week, so I’m counting down the hours.

We’re all excited to play as it’s a huge weekend for us, especially the Saturday against Peterborough. It could be a make or break game for us, so we’ve got to make sure we bring everything we can.

It doesn’t matter what kind of form Peterborough are in, we know what we’ve got to do. We know how important the game is and we’ve still got to play them one more time too.

We’ve just got to keep working hard and doing what we have been doing. If we can take that into each weekend, then we’ll keep picking up wins.

It’s vitally important that we get the points this weekend if we want to catch them and it’s vitally important that we put in a good performance if we’re to do that.

The boys know that, it’s something we’ve talked about this week in training and it’s something we all need to take on board and bring everything we can.

The league is the biggest trophy that we want to win this year, so we’ve got to keep pushing forward for that and the journey to do that starts again this weekend.

The fans can look forward to an exciting game, Peterborough are a very good team and we’re two of the teams that are battling for the league this year, so it’s going to be an exciting game.

They should come down to the Link and watch a battle. We need them to bring the noise for sure.
