Former Swindon netminder Gregg Rockman enjoyed an outstanding second period as he continued to thwart Wildcats at Bracknell.

Despite Cats enjoying a much better period than the first, they could not beat their old teammate Rockman.

And while Swindon were denied by Rockman, it was Bracknell who extended their lead to 4-0.

Joel Petkoff, Ciaran Long and John Wheaton all missed good chances - the latter also squandering a great one-on-one chance.

Penalty trouble saw Swindon go further behind with Long and Jan Vrtik both sitting out penalty calls with Bracknell taking full advantage.

Michal Kanka got the goal for Bracknell, exploiting the extra space on the ice to score on the 20-minute mark.

Wildcats enjoyed a powerplay of their own after 27 minutes, with Brad Watchthorn receiving 2+10 minutes for tripping and dissent but Wheaton and Petkoff both failed to beat Rockman.

To add to Wildcats' woes they lost Robin Davison to injury mid-way through the period after he was struck by a stick to the bridge of his nose. He is expected to return for the third period if Wildcats' medical staff can stop the bleeding.
