Swindon Wildcats rallied round in the final period, coming back from 5-0 down to finally go down 6-3 at Bracknell.
The home side extended their lead soon after the restart when John Wheaton was penalised for charging on Michael Kanka. On the resulting powerplay, Matt Foord fed Adam Bicknell to score.
Seconds later at 44.27, Tom Carlon set up Peter Jasik to beat Craze and end the match as a contest.
However, with Shane Moore playing as a forward he inticed a penalty against Brad Watchorn, which was followed by coach Peter Russell swapping netminders with Joe White replacing Nathan Craze.
From the resulting powerplay Cats scored their first goal of the night which prompted a flurry of goals for the visitors.
At 54.18, Jan Vrtik combined with Adam Brittle to set up young Ciaran Long to score.
Then at 54.24 Petkoff hit wrasping blue-line shot past Bees' netminder Gregg Rockman.
And with Bicknell picking up a delayed penalty, Cats scored again, Petkoff latching on to his own rebound to score.
