SUPERMARINE Ladies were shut out in their final game of the season at second-in-the-league Bath Ladies.

Despite valiant first-half effort from Marine, the home side proved too strong as they ran out 34-0 winners.

The visitors actually dominated the scrum in a forward heavy opening period but could not find a breakthrough.

After 30 minutes of play Bath managed to use their pace from a lineout to get over the whitewash under the posts, which they converted.

With the half-time score just 7-0 there was plenty of hope the Wiltshire side would come back after the break.

Initially Supermarine were able to keep pressure on Bath in the early exchanges after the interval.

It was not until the hour that Bath started to identify the gaps in Marine’s defence.

The hosts began to play quick rugby and sent the ball wide as their scoring became more frequent.

The majority of play during the whole game was played in Bath’s half and Supermarine had a lot of positives to take from the game.

Forward of the match was a joint effort from second row's Donna Martin-Mulholland and Emily Clarke, and back of the match went to tough tackling Lianne Bartleman.
