SWINDON Robins skipper Jason Doyle resumes his world championship challenge at the Swedish Grand Prix this evening.
The race for the world title has been on hiatus since the Czech GP in Prague three weeks ago.
That event marked Doyle’s strongest round of the world championship this season as the Australian picked up his first podium finish of the year.
Doyle finished in fourth place at Marketa Stadium, picking up 12 points, as Polish rider Janusz Kołodziej took victory.
Swindon skipper Doyle heads into battle in Hallstavik this evening sitting ninth in the standings on 23 points from the opening three rounds.
Pole Patryk Dudek and Denmark’s Leon Madsen are tied at the top on 40 points.
At the same GP 12 months ago, Doyle recorded nine points at HZ Bygg Arena as Polish rider Maciej Janowski finished on the top step of the podium.
