SWINDON Robins won their first piece of top-flight team silverware since 1967 tonight as they lifted the Elite Shield, despite defeat at Coventry.
The Blunsdon outfit went down 52-41 at Brandon Stadium, but yesterday's first leg triumph - they thrashed their opponents 57-35 - ensured they picked up the trophy on aggregate.
Skipper Leigh Adams led the way with 14 points, reserve Seb Alden being next best with eight.
It was some revenge over the Bees, who pipped Swindon to all three domestic team titles last year, including the Sky Sports Elite League.
