SWINDON Town midfielder Tom Smith has had his loan spell at National League South side Bath City extended until January.

Smith, 19, will remain at Twerton Park until January 6, following a successful loan stint that has seen him make seven appearances and score two goals.

The teenager has also won two man of the match Awards since his arrival in October and contributed a goal and assist during City's 4-0 victory over East Thurrock yesterday.

Town have also given the player permission to play in both the FA Challenge Trophy and the Somerset Premier Cup, having agreed to the maximum 93 days extension.

Smith was handed his first professional contract in the summer of 2014 and featured 12 times for Town last season as well as spending time on loan at League of Ireland First Division side Waterford, where he scored once in 10 games.
