LAWRENCE VIGOUROUX – 6.5

Not a particularly busy evening but kept his concentration well to make a first save after an hour and did get out well to block Doidge’s effort that led to the goal.

OLLY LANCASHIRE – 7.5

Took a whack to the head and finished wearing a bandage but it was a game where the captain led from the front with a sturdy outing.

MATT PRESTON – 7.5

Looked back to the player we came to know in his early games and was a physical threat in both boxes.

CHRIS ROBERTSON – 7

More composed with two other centre-backs alongside him and it was a relatively straightforward evening.

KYLE KNOYLE – 7

Was dangerous with his pace on the right and tried to chase balls in behind but a lack of games saw fatigue set in during the latter stages.

MATT TAYLOR – 7

Looked a bit more assured in a midfield role and helped to dictate Town’s play. His set-pieces were a real weapon once again. Booked.

AMINE LINGANZI – 6.5

Worked hard in the middle and looked to shackle the visiting midfield but succumbed to injury in second half.

ELLIS IANDOLO – 7.5

Strong outing up against Bennett and was solid in his defensive duties and sent some real teasing deliveries into the Rovers box.

KESHI ANDERSON – 6

Probably Town’s liveliest player and was only denied a goal by an excellent save from Collins. His display was somewhat tarnished by a late red card.

LUKE NORRIS – 6.5

Tried hard and held the ball up well but lacked a little bit of sharpness after injury and was subbed again after sustaining another knock.

PAUL MULLIN – 7

Lots of endeavour and energy in wide channels and always looked to take on the Rovers defence before being replaced in the second half.

Substitutes:

KAIYNE WOOLERY – 7

(For Norris, 52) Added real impetus for the hosts and always looked to drive towards goal.

JAMES DUNNE – 6

(For Linganzi, 65) Maintained Town’s dominance in the central section of the pitch.

KELLAN GORDON – 6

(For Mullin, 69) Probed the Rovers back-line and caused problems.

Subs not used: Reice Charles-Cook, John Goddard, James Brophy, Tom Smith.
