Adver Sport assess the performances of the Swindon Town players in today’s 3-0 defeat at home to Cheltenham Town in League Two.
STUART MOORE – 5.5
Will be disappointed at the first goal and looked shaky at times but given no help from his defence for Cheltenham’s second and third.
BEN PURKISS – 5
Brushed off too easily by Eisa for Cheltenham’s second goal and a poor day all round for the whole Town defence.
CHRIS ROBERTSON – 5
Rustiness from a season in and out of the side is clear and did not hold up well against the visitors’ forward probes.
ROLLIN MENAYESE – 5.5
Got in a couple of strong challenges but again not a day to savour for the youngster as Town’s defence were exposed regularly.
KYLE KNOYLE – 6
Got forward nicely on a couple of occasions without doing anything spectacular and was subbed just before the hour.
JAMES DUNNE – 5.5
Offered a bit of bite initially but once Cheltenham had control of the game, they over-ran the midfield area with ease. Booked.
TIMI ELSNIK – 6
One of his poorer games in a Town shirt as couldn’t get a handle on the play but did show a couple of brief glimmers of promise.
KESHI ANDERSON – 5
Hardly featured in the game and offered little in the way of a creative spark before being withdrawn late on.
MATT TAYLOR – 6
Hard to say how the dual role affected his performance but sent in some nice crosses and worked his socks off racing up and down the left.
MARC RICHARDS (C) – 5
Looked strong but hardly got a sniff of a chance in front of goal as his team-mates struggled to pick him out.
LUKE NORRIS – 5
Looked lively initially with a couple of early chances but dropped out of prominence as Town’s tempo fell. Subbed after the break.
Substitutes:
KELLAN GORDON – 5
(For Knoyle, 56) Had the longest to impress but didn’t seem to add much to sway the pattern of play.
KAIYNE WOOLERY – 5.5
(For Norris, 68) Looked to use his pace but openings were few and far between.
PAUL MULLIN – 5
(For Anderson, 80) Little time to make an impact on the game.
Subs not used: Reice Charles-Cook, Chris Hussey, Ellis Iandolo, Scott Twine.
