ADVER Sport assess the performances of the Swindon Town players folllowing their 1-0 win over Mansfield Town.

Jojo Wollacott: 7

Town’s stopper made two tough saves look simple and dominated his box all afternoon. Another well-deserved clean sheet.

Kaine Kesler-Hayden: 7

Always keen to run at his man, Kesler-Hayden put in another strong showing. Not much happened for Mansfield down his side either – much better than last week. Booked.

Akin Odimayo: 7

Odimayo seems to be getting up to speed now and produced some vital blocks and interceptions. He was part of a disciplined back three. Booked.

Dion Conroy: 7

Another strong display from Conroy. He was caught napping on a couple of occasions, admittedly, but Swindon’s captain was mostly very assured and defended well.

Romoney Crichlow: 7

Crichlow is another who seems to be improving with increased game time. He reduced the number of errors made and battled away hard.

Rob Hunt: 7

Hunt reacted smartly to turn the ball off the line and keep Swindon’s lead intact during the most controversial moment of the game. He stuck to his task pretty well and made it as tough as possible for Mansfield to cross.

Anthony Grant: 7

In the first half, especially, Grant was one of two players (alongside Reed) who was actively trying to drag Swindon back into the game through hard work. Sacrificed as Garner went for the win. Subbed.

Louis Reed: 7

Struggled to chain much together early on but showed his quality to dominate the ball as time went by, and produced a vital goal-saving block. His passing is a joy to behold and got stuck in as usual to help unsettle the Stags.

Ben Gladwin: 5

Gladwin didn’t seem to touch the ball much, but when he did he was too slow or lost possession. Failed to meet the same standards as his opening-day performance again. Subbed.

Jack Payne: 6

I don’t think he quite met his usual standards, especially in the first half. But he did put a shift in for the team anyway and came back well by playing his part for the goal.

Tyreece Simpson: 8

Simpson has improved with every game and showed excellent desire to score a well-deserved goal. His all-around play was a cut above as well. Subbed.

SUBSTITUTES

Jonny Williams: 7

Williams made an instant impact with the assist and kicked Town’s attacking play up a gear. A highly impressive cameo.

Ellis Iandolo: N/A

Came on too late to receive a rating.

Harry McKirdy: N/A

Came on too late to receive a rating. Booked.
