TRUST STFC board member Alex Pollock provides an update on the latest events regarding the supporter group, including increased support for Swindon Town Women and further discussions with Swindon Town men.

It’s been another busy few weeks for board members of TrustSTFC as we continue to support the club’s operations and the requirements of our members.

Earlier this month, we met with Rob Angus (CEO) and Matt Waters (General Manager) to discuss certain areas of focus in which the Trust can support the club. From fan engagement, right through to marketing support, we’re keen to utilise the skills and expertise of our board members in whichever way we can over the coming months and seasons.

At our monthly board meeting last week, we were joined by Mike and Laura from Swindon Town Women. A proposal was voted on, and passed unanimously, to become STWFC’s back-of-shirt sponsor for this forthcoming season. We’ll invest £2,000 of Trust funds to ensure the cost of this is covered, and provide additional operational funds. We’re keen to see how we can further support the women’s team, and if Trust members have any ideas or suggestions, please do get in touch.

Mike Welsh, Honorary TrustSTFC President, continues to lead work with the club and Community Foundation for our project around ‘Next Gen’ fans. Following the success of providing six primary schools with free tickets last month, we now have 27 Swindon schools in total signed up for the programme. We’re currently reviewing plans of how we can evolve this initiative and also support schools further in the activation process.

Last weekend, we started distributed TrustSTFC pin badges to all our members by post. It’s been great to hear the feedback and see the pictures on social media from those who have received theirs. Our membership team is working on further rewards that we hope to finalise over the coming weeks before shipping out.

For more information on who we are and what we do, head over to our website: www.TrustSTFC.tv - you can also find information about our range of free and paid-for membership packages, that ensure you can have your say on matters relating to the club. We hope to see you at The County Ground this weekend for the Rochdale game! COYR!
