SWINDON Town Football Club CEO Rob Angus provides a variety of important updates in his latest exclusive column to Adver Sport, including feedback on queues at the County Ground, Swindon Town Women’s game on Sunday, and the expected release of the club’s third kit in time for Christmas.

It was great to see over 9000 home fans at The County Ground again last Saturday.

Your support was fantastic, and while the result was not what any of us wanted your support is really appreciated and continues to help us rebuild our club and help repair the financial damage that Clem has inherited.

I know that a number of you have commented on the queues ahead of games, it is something we are working on to see what short-term improvements we can make, but again this is down to years of neglect and lack of investment in the infrastructure at The County Ground.

In the short term, if you can get to The County Ground a little earlier before kick-off then that would be appreciated.

We welcome Swindon Town Women to The County Ground on Sunday for their league game against Exeter City.

It would be great to see a strong crowd showing support for our Women’s team as we look to support them and build stronger ties going forwards.

We then have the FA Youth Cup game being hosted at Gloucester City on the Tuesday, November 2. We give our thanks to Gloucester City for hosting which will help us manage The County Ground pitch as we enter a period where our weather deteriorates.

Thanks also to all those choosing The County Ground for your event’s venue, whether that’s for Christmas parties, parties, conferences, collaboration spaces or other events.

We have some great flexible spaces with good facilities which we are investing in. Every booking helps our club generate additional revenue which is then invested back in the football club.

Finally, we are making preparations to stock up the club shop with Christmas gifts, and the release of our exciting new third strip is getting closer, so once again thanks to you all for supporting our club by buying from our shop whether in-store or online.

Thanks for your continued support.

COYR. Rob.
