The League Cup gets under way this week with Swindon making the trip to the capital on Wednesday to take on Queens Park Rangers, where the team could be facing up to Town old boys Ben Gladwin and Massimo Luongo.
Michael Doughty has made the move in the other direction, signing another loan deal last Friday which will see him stay at the County Ground for the season.
Swindon went out of this competition last season at the first round stage with a home defeat at the hands of Exeter City.
QPR didn’t fare much better, falling in the second round to Carlisle United.
Both clubs will be hoping that they can progress a little further this time out, but one team will be disappointed.
