READING Rod Bluh, the council leader's report on the work of Coun David Renard (SA, July 3), prompts me to add my own praise for the non-stop effort David gives to the borough and Haydon Wick.
I have had the pleasure of representing Haydon Wick alongside David for the last 18 months. The amount of case work done by him is amazing, always has time for everyone, whatever their problem. And of course the big one, with lots of meetings with Thames Water, borough officers and public meetings, securing £8m plus for the drainage system to solve the sewage flooding problems of Haydon Wick.
Time for a short rest? Not David, he's now putting pressure on the Environment Agency to solve the flooding along the brook.
He has been the best mentor I could have wished for.
