I WOULD like to say a big thank you to all the generous West Swindon Shopping Centre customers who tossed coins into the wonderful Bears Barn Dance animated Christmas display in the shopping centre over Christmas and New Year. All the coins certainly added up and we have just finished counting and banking it. The grand total was £2,715 which was fantastic. It was lovely to see all the children enjoying the magic of the display - the best in Swindon.
Thanks must also go to Stuart Tanfield centre manager, and to Steve, Pete and Joe who painstakingly retrieved all the coins from the ‘snow’. A big thank you to the NSPCC volunteers who counted all the pennies - it was quite a task.
This year the local NSPCC has been raising money for children for 110 years and we aim to raise £110,000 by September - will you help? So far we are up to £50,000 so still a way to go. For further information contact me on 01793 530912.
Thank you for your support.
