SCHIZOPHRENIA can be triggered in young people by smoking cannabis.
Medication can help with the symptoms of schizophrenia, but it is a permanent disease. There is no cure.
It is for that reason the Government has raised the classification from a Class C drug, to a Class B drug.
This Labour Government now realizes what a colossal mistake it was to down classify cannabis to a Class C drug in the first place.
Some teenagers will now suffer mental health problems for the rest of their lives.
All because this Government failed to put the correct classification on cannabis, and explain that cannabis was an extremely dangerous drug, especially dangerous for teenagers.
