THE latest figures show that 39 pubs are closing a week, as a result of the smoking ban.
UKIP believes that landlords should decide whether to allow separate smoking rooms for smokers.
The pub is a safe and secure environment for people to drink, because pubs cannot legally serve alcohol to people who are drunk.
The main problem from alcohol-related violence has nothing to do with pubs.
Most violence comes from street drinking, which takes place in a less controlled environment.
Therefore UKIP believes that the Government should stop waging war on the great British pub, and allow separate smoking rooms for smokers.
