IT is a sad day for the Moredon Ward that we have lost a hard working and honest councillor. Stephanie Exell has worked hard and done a lot for the area. If you contacted her she did respond and has always done what she could for the good of residents of her ward. She has now found herself in a position on which she could not justify the council’s response to cuts on a matter on which she believes in very much, good for her.
It is a pity we do not have more councillors who would vote on their principles and not toe the party line just for the sake of it and a quiet life, you are there for the benefit of your residents who voted you in and can also vote you out so easily. The vulnerable need protecting as they cannot always say what they wish it is the duty of every council and government to protect these people at all times. I take it that the other two councillors of the Moredon Ward are going to take on the very heavy workload that Stephanie was dealing with? So please rethink your cuts to these folk NOW before it is too late.
