With the season coming to an end this weekend it’s time to look at each player’s contribution over the past twelve months, and rate their season out of 10.

Lawrence Vigouroux – Due to a fall out with Flitcroft, last season’s MVP only played a bit part in this campaign, will be key next season. 6

Ben Purkiss – The PFA Chairman’s time at Town should come to an end this summer. 5

Chris Hussey – The loanee’s season started at a blistering pace, but after a six-month lay off he didn’t look the same player. 6

Matt Preston – Has played a key role since his arrival, the club needs to offer him a new deal as soon as possible. 7

Chris Robertson – A poor season from the Scottish centre back, should be released this summer. 5

Olly Lancashire – A mixed season from the former Saints trainee, has a contract until next summer but should be moved on. 6

Paul Mullin – An inconsistent first season in Wiltshire, started well but fell away due to lack of chances in the first team. 6

James Dunne – A fairly average campaign from the midfielder, has a contract until 2019 but should be asked to find a new club this summer. 5

Luke Norris – Fourteen goals is a decent return from Town’s number nine, even if half came from the penalty spot. 7

Amine Linganzi – Has all the attributes needed to be an important part of this team, but failed to show them on a consistent basis. 6

Marc Richards – Seven goals in nine games under Flitcroft, three goals in nine under Brown, a good striker who works well under a direct style of play. 7

Timi Elsnik – A talented young midfielder, who has a big future, wouldn’t surprise me to see him in Derby’s first team next season. 7

Reice Charles-Cook – A superb shot stopper but his decision-making is all over the place. A decent back-up for next season. 6

Kaiyne Woolery – Has all the attributes to be a top quality striker, but fell short of the standard required due to lack of regular games. 6

Kyle Knoyle – A good full-back who deserves to be around next season. 6

Ollie Banks – An inconsistent loan spell, hasn’t quite done enough to be offered a deal for next season. 6

Keshi Anderson – During his loan he looked a good player, since signing on a permanent deal he’s disappointed, will be key next season if played up front. 6

Matt Taylor – Easily Player of the Season and by far the most hardworking, talented player at the club. Hopefully he’ll be around next season as a player/coach. 8

John Goddard 6, James Brophy 5, Ellis Iandolo 6, Harry Smith 6, Donal McDermott 6, Kellan Gordon 6, Dion Conroy 7, Scott Twine 7, Stuart Moore 6, Ryan McGivern 6
