STAFF at a Swindon-based firm went absolutely dotty when they dressed up for Children in Need this month.

In support of the BBC’s annual campaign, members of staff at The Hills Group head office in Shrivenham Road dressed in Pudsey outfits or spotty clothes and took part in fundraising activities.

Lynn Daniels, chairman of the charity committee, said: “The staff here have once again done us proud by proving they are willing to throw themselves into the events we put on to raise money for charity.

“We really enjoyed judging the cake competition. There were lots of brilliant entries and it was tough to pick just one winner from the bunch.

“The charity committee is always pleased to help out a worthy cause and we were delighted with the number of staff members who got involved.”

Hills, which has a portfolio including waste management, recycling, quarrying and house-building, holds themed charity events every month in aid of various worthy causes.

Staff members competed in a bake-off competition and showed off their prowess in the kitchen by producing some tasty treats including cheese scones, cupcakes and sponges.

There was also a competition to guess the number of spots on the cake.

The day brought in more than £300 for Children in Need.
