Abbey Meads is one of the newest areas of Swindon. About 10 years old, it forms part of the town's Northern Development.

Residents say it is a friendly place to live and it is well served by shops, a pub, a church, doctors' surgery, dentists' surgery and chemist. There are two primary schools and plenty of green open spaces.
