Last year Liz and Andy Barrington decided to continue an ancient tradition and form a Morris dancing side. After advertising for members they now have enough dancers for a complete side called The Great Bustards of Wiltshire.
The group are planning to perform at local events in the new year, however they are still on the lookout for new members as work and family commitments mean that not everyone can make every event.
No experience is necessary as you will be fully trained but they do say that a taste for cider and ale will help.
The group dance at St Augustine's church in Summers Street, Rodbourne every Friday from 7.30pm until 9.30pm.
If you would like to take up the bells and hankies then please call Andy or Liz on Swindon 612409.
