As local people will be aware there are road works on the A420 between Gable Cross and the Acorn Bridge. These are once again causing confusion. There is no access onto the A420 via Old Vicarage Lane although it is open right up to the Carpenters Arms.
These road works will be repeated next weekend and there are fears that the signage will be even more confused.
For all those who have bookings in the Carriers Arms, The South Marston Hotel and the Carpenters Arms for Mothers Day, fear not you will be able to enter the village, from Gable Cross or Highworth Road, despite what the signs may eventually say.
