THE Castle Combe Steam Rally is back this weekend with new high-speed attractions, vintage motorcades and death-defying riders to boot.

To kick things up a notch, this year the rally will play host to the Ken Fox Wall of Death thrill show which features stunt artists riding at breakneck speed on vintage Indian Scouts up and across a 20ft vertical wall for gobsmacked audiences’ viewing pleasure.

The Steam Rally will also feature all the old favourites including displays of vintage steam engines, tractors, cars, military vehicles and motorcycles, craft stalls and some fairground rides for little ones.

The event was founded in 1985 and originally held in a small section of the Castle Combe Racing Circuit. Over the years it has expanded not only to the pits but a large part of the circuit and grown into one of the most popular steam rallies in the area.

Over the past 30 years, the meet has raised money for many local causes including children cancer charity CLIC Sargent and the Wiltshire Air Ambulance appeal.

The 2016 rally will collect funds for The Jessie May Trust, which provides care for terminally-ill children at home.

The Steam Rally is open from 10am to 6pm tomorrow and between 10am and 5pm on Sunday. Tickets are available on the day at £8 for adults. Children under 14 go free.
