WAGGY tails, wet noses and furry faces will be on parade as dog show Lydiard Bark returns on Sunday.

It is the third year the event has been organised by Eastcott Vets and will kick off at Lydiard Park from 10.30am until 4pm. All proceeds will be going to this year’s chosen charity; Oak & Furrows Wildlife Rescue.

Among the classes the pooches can enter in a bid to be crowned top dog are; best small dog, prettiest bitch, best pedigree, best crossbreed, dog with the most appealing eyes, dog judges would like to take home and best squad of dogs. The show starts from 11am and it costs £3 on the day to enter a class.

There will also be fun and laughs with a new informal pay and play games ring where pooches can compete against other dogs and their owners in a ball and spoon race, recall relay and catch. It costs 50p a go.

Treats galore will be provided by Happy Dog and tips and hints from Speak Dog Training & Behaviour.

Face painting, hoopla, ball in the bucket, the buzz wire game and hula hoops will ensure younger visitors to the show are not left out.

Meanwhile there will be stalls from Sophia’s Sweets, gourmet dog treats company Buck's Bakery, pet boutique BellaJoJos and Paw-Things.

The event’s raffle also boosts a variety of prizes worth hundreds of pounds, including: a television, iPad Air 2, coffee machine, photoshoot, family ticket to a Swindon Wildcats ice hockey game and hampers of wine.
