WHAT'S IT LIKE?: The Bolingbroke Arms is the place to go for great-tasting fresh dishes. The pub’s three chefs, led by Jason Hillier, cook an imaginative menu with a wide range of modern and traditional dishes, all freshly prepared.
Some of the favourites include Wiltshire ham with bubble and squeak topped with poached or fried eggs, sweet chilli tiger prawns, braised lamb fillet in garlic and rosemary, homemade smoked haddock and mozzarella fishcakes served with a mature cheddar cheese sauce and steak and stilton pie.
PRICES?: The Bolingbroke Arms serves 3Bs and Wiltshire Gold for £3.50 each, Stella Artois and Guinness for £4 each, Stowford Press, Strongbow and Carling for £3.70. A large glass of house wine is £5, or a bottle is £14.95.
