Lockup your chickens as Fox and The Law bring their raw tidal wave rock to Swindon.
The four-piece from Seattle in the United States, are Guy Keltner, Sweet Pete, Patrick Dougherty, and Dan O’Neil, who got together in 2010, creating a sound described as sonic time bombs let loose in the ears.
They write their own songs and are a self-styled garage band. Lead singer Guy has all the panache and swagger of a modern day rock idol, mixed with some impish in-your-face punk. Not surprisingly the music has more than a hint of the old style thunder rock of the 1970s when such bands as Black Sabbath stalked the earth.
The boys are picking up a whole new fan base during their first tour of the UK, playing songs from their EP Sleep with the Lights On, a collaboration between Fox and the Law and the Grizzled Mighty's Ryan Granger, and their latest offering Stoned to Death.
At the Swindon gig they will be supported by Bristol-based outfit, The Greasy Slicks.
Fox and the Law are stopping off at the Vic, Victoria Road, Old Town, at 8pm on Monday, September 22 for a free gig.
