Deborah Bonham was just six-years-old when her brother John, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant formed the legendary rock band Led Zeppelin, but the musical ripples are still felt by the singer.

She has carved out her own career in music and will be bringing her band to Long Street Blues Club, Long Street, Devizes on Saturday, April 11.

Deborah has had a busy couple of years performing at the Czech Republic’s first rock festival alongside Ozzy Osbourne, Korn and Nazareth, touring through Europe where local press called her the Princess of Rock, and releasing her latest album entitled Spirit. She was also invited to sing as special guest at the Royal Albert Hall, at the request of Paul Rodgers. Robert Plant, is her own special guest on the latest album.

Deborah grew up on her family estate along with her nephew Jason Bonham, son of Led Zeppelin's John Bonham, a chip off the old block with his drumsticks. Both musicians recorded their first demos under the guiding hand of Robert Plant, who lived in a nearby village.

Despite such a heavyweight mentor on hand, Deborah sent her first demos off anonymously, determined to make it on her own merit, and she landed her first break in 1985 with For You And The Moon.

Her brother John died in 1980 at only 32-years-old but he is still widely regarded as one of the best rock drummers of all time, and Deborah and Jason continue to guest on each others albums and perform together on tour.

The singer has also worked with Van Halen, Uli Jon Roth, Humble Pie, Donovan, Lonnie Donegan, Jools Holland, Foreigner and Paul Rodgers.

Current members of Deborah’s band are accredited musicians in their own right including Robert Plant’s Band of Joy drummer Marco Giovino, Peter Bullick on guitar, Ian Rowley on bass and Gerard Louis on keyboards.
