COMEDIAN Bill Bailey will be performing at this year’s Larmer Tree Festival.

The star is one of the final acts to be added to the bill of the event taking place at Larmer Tree Gardens, in Salisbury, between July 15 and 19.

The Black Books actor will be on the main stage during the closing event of the festival which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.

Bill Bailey said: “I've been a fan of festivals for a long time and always enjoy their unique atmosphere. I'm delighted to be able to celebrate Larmer Tree's 25th anniversary with them.”

Organisers are delighted to have the comedian topping a bill which includes musicians Sir Tom Jones, Bellowhead and the Levellers.

Julia Safe, festival director, said: “Bill Bailey has always been top of my wish list ever since I started the comedy thread at Larmer Tree in 2009.

“Every year something always seemed to get in the way so you can imagine my absolute unbounded delight when finally he agreed to perform at our 25th festival.”
