SWINDON’S Male Voice Choir and the town’s Wessex Male Choir will unite in perfect harmony for a special show at MECA on Saturday evening.

Around 100 male singers from both choirs will take to the stage together for the first time in a rousing finale to their concert.

Both choirs will provide a varied programme of music, old, new, traditional, modern shows songs and more.

The choirs have gained much recognition for their concert performances around the UK and overseas and the Wessex Male Choir have achieved the highest possible standards in international choral competitions.

The Male Voice Choir will celebrate its centenary in two years’ time while the Wessex Male Choir is 17-years-old.

There will also be a special guest appearances by the Cirencester Advanced Singers, a small group of advanced music students from Kingshill School.

Shirley Ludford, from Swindon 105.5 and Swindon Male Voice Choir president said: “I am proud to have followed and supported both choirs over the years attending and broadcasting many of their superb events, including at Llangollen Eisteddfod and the London Marathon with Wessex Male Choir - and concerts by Swindon Male Voice Choir with the Grenadier Guards and Coldstream Guards.”
