We hope this will encourage people from inside and outside of the town to celebrate Swindons sometimes underrated sense of heritage, culture and history.

The guides will place some emphasis on Swindons free to visit sites, our heritage and cultural buildings and also on places to eat, drink and stay overnight.

The project, due to launch this summer, is looking for help from residents and businesses.

Dave Wood continued: Were looking for people to get involved in the project by suggesting and researching allegedly haunted locations in Old Town, Highworth and the rest of the borough.

Were also looking for buildings and businesses to come forward if they wanted to be included in the guides.
