The UK premiere of What is Susan’s Secret? unfolds in Swindon this month.

The Phoenix Players are busy rehearsing for the comedy, which will be performed at Swindon Arts Centre, Devizes Road, Old Town, from Wednesday, April 30 to Saturday, May 3.

The intriguing farce is set around an elderly couple who own The Cider Mill, a rustic, run-down country inn.

Over a number of weekends, various guests staying at The Cider Mill find themselves unwittingly contracted to perform plumbing work, building, carpentry and electrics on the inn.

There are 40 members in the theatre company, which notches up its 60th anniversary this year, having started out as the Poetry Circle Players back in 1946.

Tickets to see What Is Susan’s Secret? are £9 and £8 concessions, with a group booking getting one ticket free with every 10 bought.
