PACK up a picnic and enjoy live theatre in the beautiful open-air surroundings of Lydiard Park when Quantum Theatre comes to town.
The theatre group will be performing Shakespeare’s magical and romantic tale of love and sorcery, The Tempest, tomorrow at 7.30pm.
Set on a remote island, Prospero, the Duke of Milan, plots to restore his daughter Miranda to her rightful place by conjuring up a storm to lure his usurping brother Antonio and the King of Naples to the island.
But for those who are shipwrecked, trickery abounds, romance blossoms and monsters lurk in dark corners of his magical island.
This magical play of love and sorcery, airy spirits and drunken sailors delivers dark forces, young love and theatrical illusion.
For tickets, which are £14 for adults or £10 for children, phone 01793 524481 or visit www.swindontheatres.co.uk.
